You will find Pipit Restaurant nestled on the pristine coastline of Northern New South Wales in the small town of Pottsville. It is an award-winning restaurant that has captured the hearts and palates of food enthusiasts since 2019.

Led by chef and owner Ben Devlin, Pipit showcases wood-fired cooking, a harmonious blend of local ingredients, sustainable seafood, and creative flair. Ben’s deep respect for the land and sea is evident in every dish, resulting in a menu that celebrates the region’s natural bounty while pushing the boundaries of flavour and technique. The restaurant was awarded Best Regional Restaurant and 2 Chef’s Hat in the 2023 SMH Good Food Guide.

The focus on a wood-fired kitchen means the dance of flames and smoky aromas infuse every dish with a distinct character. The open-plan design allows guests to witness the culinary magic as the skilled chefs prepare each plate with precision and creativity.

Inspired by the ever-changing seasons and the surrounding natural landscapes, the menu showcases a symphony of flavours and textures. From delicate seafood sourced from nearby waters to foraged herbs and native ingredients, each element tells a story of the region’s tropical and unique produce.

Complementing the food is a drink menu that includes an all-Australian wine list, selected to perfectly complement the coastal flavours of the food.

The restaurant’s stylish yet relaxed interior, adorned with natural materials and earthy tones, provides the perfect backdrop for the food. Whether you’re a local or a traveller seeking an unforgettable dining experience, Pipit is a destination that invites you to savour the best of the Northern Rivers. It is a testament to the passion and vision of its team, who have redefined what it means to dine on the Tweed Coast.
