Enter Via Laundry isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an embodiment of a culinary philosophy that celebrates India’s rich heritage and its ongoing culinary evolution. Chef Helly Raichura’s vision transforms dining into a multi-sensory experience, a journey that transcends taste and explores the heart and soul of Indian culture, one dish at a time.

Rooted in the belief that the essence of all food lies in native produce, ancient techniques and recipes, Enter Via Laundry presents a menu that tells a captivating story of India’s culinary evolution. Helly’s philosophy embraces the diverse regional cuisines of India, weaving together ancient cooking methods, evolving recipes, and locally sourced ingredients to craft an unforgettable dining experience.

What sets Enter Via Laundry apart is its commitment to exploration. With each passing season, the restaurant embarks on a culinary journey to a different region of India. This culinary exploration is not only limited to flavours and ingredients but also encompasses the cultural and historical context behind each dish.

As guests gather around a communal table, Helly becomes the storyteller, painting a vivid picture of the region’s culinary history, its cultural influences and the seasonal produce that gives each dish its distinct character.

The restaurant’s new home in Carlton marks a milestone, as it’s Helly’s first permanent venue. The space has been thoughtfully divided into three distinct areas, each contributing to the overall immersive experience. Guests start their evening in the cosy living room, where pre-dinner drinks set the tone for the culinary journey ahead. As they transition to the shared table, seating 12 guests, a sense of camaraderie and shared adventure pervades the atmosphere, akin to a convivial dinner party.

The concept of communal dining traces back to Enter Via Laundry’s roots in Box Hill, where Helly operated the restaurant from her home. This tradition lives on in the new venue, fostering connections and conversations among diners who may have started the evening as strangers but left as friends.
