This beautiful modern Chinese restaurant is housed inside one of Brisbane’s most magnificent heritage buildings, the old Queensland Government Savings Bank, circa 1914. It features two-storey high ornate ceilings, wood-panelled walls, exquisite chandeliers, pale parquetry floors, marble tables, potted plants and padded plush pink, green and blue velvet chairs.

Overlooking the room is a balcony gallery with a winding staircase leading up to some of the restaurant’s private dining rooms, and along one side is the steamy open kitchen with live seafood tanks (lobster, abalone, mud crab, spanner crab & Queensland groper), glass cabinets of hanging ducks, and a team of specialty chefs, busy working their magic.

Giving a gentle nod to Sichuan flavours and authentic Cantonese cuisine, Donna Chang unites a respected team of industry leaders from both international and interstate origins. Modern Chinese is the goal here, having sourced the very best local ingredients to create inspired dishes that educate and excite, with a wine and cocktail list that follows suit.

Dining that ignites all the senses. Dim Sum is a house specialty with dedicated dim sum masters creating in-house customer favourites like the Moreton Bay Bug Dumplings. Beloved menu items include Sashimi, Wagyu Beef, Pork Char Siu and dedicated dim sum and dumpling sections. A wood-fired oven and open flame grill utilise the primal method of cooking with fire using a combination of naturally aromatic wood, smoke and slow-burning charcoal to achieve a superior roasting and grilling experience with an extensive list of premium proteins.
