A legend of Melbourne’s hospitality industry, Cumulus Inc. has been looking after its guests for 15 years; along the way, it has embroidered itself into the fabric of the city. Cumulus Inc. opened in 2008 in Flinders Lane and is Melbourne’s first all-day eating house and bar. It is housed within an iconic turn-of-the-century rag-trade warehouse in the city’s art and fashion precinct. Open each day of the week, the space is bright, industrial and classic whilst being a busy social hub.

The restaurant offers an extensive drinks list and high-quality, casual dining, with shared plates that cater to any appetite at any time of day. The menu focuses on classic, yet creative, dishes with offerings that are reflective of the season, prepared simply to showcase their freshness and flavour.

Lunch and dinner include dishes designed to share, including charcuterie, oysters shucked to order, seasonal vegetables treated with care, or whole roast lamb shoulder. Solo diners and couples sitting at the bar are treated to either a ringside kitchen view, or people-watching on Flinders Lane.

Cumulus Inc. is fully licensed with a thoughtfully curated beverage offering catering to all tastes and budgets. All wines represented on the list have been sourced directly from the winery, distributor or importer and aged in their climate-controlled cellar.

Separated from the ground-level dining room and the hum of the busy Flinders Lane, Upstairs at Cumulus Inc. is a handsome retreat. Featuring parquet timber floors, marble accents and designer lighting, the entire floor can be reserved for private events. The Wine Room is a more intimate option with a faceted wooden feature wall and a soaring glass door framed by sheer linen curtains.
